Consultations / Hospitalisation / Emergencies
Consultation
Consultations take place every day of the week by appointment, other than for emergencies.
To make an appointment:
Other than for emergencies, it is compulsory to have a consultation with an anaesthetist before any planned operation. It has to take place at least 48 hours before the operation, and no more than 2 months beforehand.
Hospitalisation
The hospitalisation unit is on the second floor (J2) and has 22 beds with individual or double rooms and beds for stay-over companions. Preoperative patients are admitted 24 hours before the operation, or 48 hours before if complementary assessment is needed. After the operation they spend 2 days in the intensive care unit.
Visits are allowed the day after the operation.
Depending upon how they are, the sort of operation and their living conditions, patients leave the hospital after ten to twelve days to go to a rehabilitation centre, the hospital unit they were transferred from or else to go home.
