The CCML is exceptional among French hospitals by virtue of its non-profit-making status and its focus on diseases involving organs inside the ribcage. The CCML is a centre of excellence for the study and treatment of these diseases.
The CCML has set itself the task of making the most effective surgical and interventional techniques available for its physicians and surgeons, and thus for its patients.
To fulfil this ambition, all teams are intimately involved in research and innovation programmes, and are backed up by on-site experimental research groups. The results of their work are broadcast through scientific articles, communications, university courses and ongoing training programmes.
The CCML’s history is marked by a whole series of "firsts" which means that our specialists have the longest experience with the most extensive patient cohorts.
Clinical work constitutes the major part of the teams’ everyday activities, providing care to patients from the CCML’s immediate catchment area around Paris as well as from further afield and abroad. This diversity is a direct consequence of the Centre’s high level of specialisation. Some patients come straight to the Centre but most are referred by their personal physicians or hospitals: the CCML is a well known reference centre in the medical community.
The "Professionals" area of this site is designed to make professional health care providers aware of the CCML, and to give them the information about the Centre that they might need. We will treat all requests for further information in our goal of realising our ambitions, for the good of all concerned.
